Mission Hills strives to maintain a class size of 12 students in JK and 24 students in grades K – 8.
Instructional aides are on staff to assist in all elementary grades.

Academics:
All subject matter is taught from a biblical worldview. Each day our students study the Bible and apply its truths to their daily lives. We use a variety of curricula including
Mission Hills prepares our students to present themselves and their knowledge well by participating in ACSI sponsored competitions such as Spelling Bee, Math Olympics, Speech Meet, Creative Writing Festival, and Technology Fair.
Junior High:
Our junior high is composed of grades 7 and 8.
Students are well prepared for high school at Mission Hills as evidenced by the excellent acceptance rates at our areas private high schools as well as our SAT scores.
Students are offered the opportunity to develop leadership skills by participating in our Student Ambassador Program as well as Student Action Council. Junior High electives for seventh graders vary from year to year; offerings have included digital animation, debate, drama, art, cooking and yearbook. In preparation for high school eighth graders receive a year of instruction in Spanish.
Enrichment Programs:
Students from Kindergarten to grade 8 are instructed in P.E.
Technology, Spanish, and Music are taught once per week by teachers specifically qualified in those fields.
Preparation for 21st century learners must include gaining experience in technology. Students from K-8 are instructed in word processing, Power Point, Excel, graphics, and desktop publishing, all the while learning the proper use of the internet.
Chapel:
Each week our students gather together for age appropriate times of corporate worship and Bible teaching. Our pastors, administrators, teachers, and honored guests are regularly invited to teach from the Word. Parents are always welcome to attend.
Service:
Students at all grade levels demonstrate the love and compassion of Jesus through their service to the local and global community. Service opportunities have included, Operation
Sports:
Along with regular P.E. classes, MHCS students may participate in two levels of afterschool sports. Students in grades 5 and 6 are part of our Developmental Sports League (DSL). This league offers an introduction to soccer, flag football, basketball and volleyball for boys, while girls play volleyball, basketball, and soccer.
Our junior high students compete in the Tri-Way League in volleyball, soccer, flag football, basketball, and golf.

Care and Recreation (C&R) is a loving, safe, and fun program designed to meet the needs of families who require care for their children before and after normal school hours. C&R opens each school day at
