Katie Kelly is the mother of two Mission Hills students. Katie graduated from Indiana University with a BA in oil painting and graphic design with a minor in art history. After graduation, she became an art instructor and has taught children for years. Grateful to all the people who have been instrumental in her budding art career, Mrs. Kelly considers it a privilege to use the gifts God has given her to bless others.

Music Teacher

Margaret Klemm holds a California Clear teaching credential in Music, a B.A. in Music Education, a B.S. in Harp Performance from the University of Illinois, and a M.M. in Harp from the University of Arizona.  She is available to teach private lessons on harp, piano and voice.  She has taught in both Christian and public schools as well as 2 years in Austria with her German fluency. …Read More

Margaret Klemm holds a California Clear teaching credential in Music, a B.A. in Music Education, a B.S. in Harp Performance from the University of Illinois, and a M.M. in Harp from the University of Arizona.  She is available to teach private lessons on harp, piano and voice.  She has taught in both Christian and public schools as well as 2 years in Austria with her German fluency.  Margaret’s diverse harp skills include doing jazz and pop gigs as well as religious services.  She is the harpist in local orchestras and was featured in the Crystal Cathedral’s Hour of Power Orchestra in its world-wide televised worship service for over 20 years.  Margaret was the Soprano soloist for four years in the Bach Cantata Concert Series at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Orange, CA.

With her passion for music and teaching children, Margaret is grateful for the opportunity to develop the vocal and instrumental skills of all her students here at MHCS.

Dana Knauer holds a California Teaching Credential and Master of Arts degree in Education. Her undergraduate work was in Psychology and Child Development. Dana has always known that working with children is her calling. She has been blessed with the opportunity to work with a variety of populations of children in many different capacities. Dana believes that through building strong relationships with her students and their families, she is able to guide each student to realize their God given gifts and talents. Dana and Steve have been married since 1997. They are blessed with two children, Carter and Hannah. Dana has been involved with Mission Hills Christian School since 2004.

Kari has been in education since 1985. She graduated from UC Irvine with a bachelor’s degree in Psychology and finished her education with a multiple-subject teaching credential. Kari taught in the public school system for 10 years as a science and math teacher in sixth grade and as a K-8 administrative staff developer in math and science. Kari’s passion is teaching junior high students and helping those students to realize the God given talents that they possess. Kari has been married to her husband Mark since 1989 and they have three children, Kiersi, Maddi, and Mason.
